Carry On Tuesday # 192

I've gone for another quote this week. It's from the actress Vivien Leigh best known for her role as Scarlett O'Hara in the classic movie Gone with the Wind

Life is too short to work so hard.

Use it as you will as part of your story or poem then leave your URL with  Scarlett O'Linky. If time permits take a look at your fellow scribes' contributions.

To read a few more humorous quotes about work by well known people go to Carry On Tuesday Plus

  1. Keith, for the last few weeks I have not been able to post my Carry on Tuesdays for the blog. It says my name Laurie F. but if you click it, it goes straight to a page saying "You appear to be lost." It's very frustrating. Can you PLEASE help? Thank you so much. Laurie @ lauriefessler@yahoo.com
hibernationnow.wordpress.com and now it says URL contains illegal characters

    1. Laurie, do you "copy/paste" the hyperlink from your post? - when putting it into Mister Linky, for some reason the URL box is already filled in with my previous link, and I have to delete everything in the box before posting my current one. Copying from a post title works for me.

  2. There is a similar problem with my blog as with Laurie F. I got a note that the link to my contribution last week didn't take folks to my carry on Tuesday blog entry.
Maybe there is a problem of compatibility with wordpress? I use the same blogging platform.

  3. PS: I had to use name/url rather than the wordpress profile. No matter how many times you try, you get the same message as Laurie F.

    1. Hi Phylor. Very odd. In almost 4 years of using Mister Linky we've never had a problem with Wordpress. I contacted Laurie by email and hopefully we have now resolved her problem. I've been back over your recent postings and the URLs had become a bit of a jumble to say the least! I've corrected your last 3 so that the links now go to the specific posts. I'll check again next week and correct if necessary. If the problem persists I'll delve a little deeper.Regards, Keith.
