A
week ago I thought I’d posted my last ever Carry
On Tuesday prompt. Since then I have been besieged by messages asking me to reconsider,
and the number of contributions soared to four times that of the previous week!
If ever I thought Carry On Tuesday had fallen out of favour, I was clearly
wrong. So, it’s business as usual! I do however have one request; I know we all lead busy lives, but it would be great if each of us could take a little time out to click on our fellow writer's links. Thank you. Right, carry on...!
Our prompt this week is the last sentence of Margaret Mitchell's 1936 novel Gone with the Wind
After all, tomorrow is another day.
Use some or all of the words in your poem or short story, then leave your details with Mister Linky. Please click on other links to see how our friends have used the prompt
To read a few other memorable quotes from Gone with the Wind and to see a wonderful trailer for the movie version of the book, pop over to
Carry On Tuesday Plus
.
So glad to see you've reconsidered! I'll be back with a poem or something soon!
ReplyDeleteI saw the plead within the poetic circle to keep this site going. Here I am! I'm always happy to support and encourage fellow poets. I hope you enjoy my submission this week.
ReplyDeleteHurrah, Keith! Don't have a poem yet, but I do hope that those who post WILL support other poets. One or two people commenting can't do it all. It will take me a while, but I will be back.
ReplyDeleteThank you Keith, I love this prompt, it does keep me going. let me know about other poetic prompts you have, I'd love to join too. Laurie F.
ReplyDeleteBravo Keith! I am happy to see the prompt today. Love this film. Haven't got a clue what I want to write. But, I'll be back.
ReplyDeleteAsni.
Good to see CoT up and at it again... I think it's never out of favor, just some prompts inspire more than others perhaps.. :)
ReplyDeleteNo entry as yet, but I might join in later in the week. Cheers!
Leo.
Here at last. Will read others tomorrow onward. :)
Deleteglad to see the site continue
ReplyDeleteMy poem is a short one, but it is what it is. I will visit Keith's site and happily will visit the site of ANY of the rest of you who visit mine....but since I have been burned before here, I will hang loose and see what happens. I do believe in reciprocity.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you decided to stay Keith :) Love the new colour to your blog too!
ReplyDeletefirst time here...will be around...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all your messages of support, and persuading me to carry on carrying on!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you didn't throw in the towel!
ReplyDeletewell, late to the party again...but glad its still here.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you decided to keep at it. So many times, your prompts capture just where I am at that moment in time.
ReplyDeleteI am guilty of not always visiting "mr. linky," or visiting the blogs of folks I don't already know. I will try and visit at least one new blog a week.
Your prompts have kept my "pencil" sharp so many times, I can't say thank you enough!
Going to be around later today to comment and discover new to me bloggers :).
ReplyDeletePS Came from Brian Millers.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time here; De's been plugging you. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time here. Glad to participate. Hopefully, will do so often.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you're sticking around. I'll try to join in more in the future. I've been writing on empty lately.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you are continuing on! I just happened on your blog and would have been sad to have missed out on the fun!
ReplyDeleteThought on this prompt for a while before writing, trying to take a different direction than where my mind first traveled.
ReplyDeleteThis was fun, Keith, I always enjoy phrase prompts!
ReplyDeleteLate here already burning midnight oil so I'll take my poems with coffee in the morning and am looking forward to it!! Smiles!

I just had to try one more take on the prompt! It's a good thing, however, that you're not expecting the whole phrase to be used, because this one doesn't lend itself well to the senryu or haiku form. Nevertheless...
ReplyDeleteWe just need a nudge from you every now and then.
