Carry On Tuesday # 156

A week ago I thought I’d posted my last ever Carry On Tuesday prompt. Since then I have been besieged by messages asking me to reconsider, and the number of contributions soared to four times that of the previous week! If ever I thought Carry On Tuesday had fallen out of favour, I was clearly wrong.  So, it’s business as usual! I do however have one request; I know we all lead busy lives, but it would be great if each of us could take a little time out to click on our fellow writer's links. Thank you. Right, carry on...!

Our prompt this week is the last sentence of Margaret Mitchell's 1936 novel Gone with the Wind

After all, tomorrow is another day.

Use some or all of the words in your poem or short story, then leave your details with Mister Linky. Please click on other links to see how our friends have used the prompt

To read a few other memorable quotes from Gone with the Wind and to see a wonderful trailer for the movie version of the book, pop over to Carry On Tuesday Plus

  2. I saw the plead within the poetic circle to keep this site going. Here I am! I'm always happy to support and encourage fellow poets. I hope you enjoy my submission this week.

  3. Hurrah, Keith! Don't have a poem yet, but I do hope that those who post WILL support other poets. One or two people commenting can't do it all. It will take me a while, but I will be back.

  6. Good to see CoT up and at it again... I think it's never out of favor, just some prompts inspire more than others perhaps.. :)

No entry as yet, but I might join in later in the week. Cheers!

  7. My poem is a short one, but it is what it is. I will visit Keith's site and happily will visit the site of ANY of the rest of you who visit mine....but since I have been burned before here, I will hang loose and see what happens. I do believe in reciprocity.

  13. I'm glad you decided to keep at it. So many times, your prompts capture just where I am at that moment in time.
I am guilty of not always visiting "mr. linky," or visiting the blogs of folks I don't already know. I will try and visit at least one new blog a week.
Your prompts have kept my "pencil" sharp so many times, I can't say thank you enough!

  20. Thought on this prompt for a while before writing, trying to take a different direction than where my mind first traveled.

  22. I just had to try one more take on the prompt! It's a good thing, however, that you're not expecting the whole phrase to be used, because this one doesn't lend itself well to the senryu or haiku form. Nevertheless...
