Carry On Tuesday # 210

Last year I announced that I was to end Carry On Tuesday as the number of contributors had dwindled to such an extent that it made all the work involved unjustifiable. Whereas other prompt sites either publish a word or a picture, Carry On Tuesday requires me to troll through songs, poems and books each week, and Carry On Tuesday Plus involves a fair bit of research too. On that occasion however, I was persuaded to change my mind and I continued. As a result the number of participants quadrupled overnight!

Regrettably I find myself in that position once again and I have decided to bow out;  this time there will be no second thoughts! Thank you so much to the loyal few who have stuck with me over the past four years. I'll miss your words, thoughts and inspiration.

For our final prompt I have chosen the title of a wonderful song famously performed by
Sarah Brightman and Andrew Bocelli

Time to say goodbye

Use the words as you wish as part of your short story or poem, then leave your URL with Mister Linky . Don't forget to take a trip around your fellow scribe's sites to see their final contributions.
