Carry On Tuesday # 123

Do you know anyone who writes short stories? If so point them in our direction. How about having a go yourself? Last week all but one of our contributors wrote poems! Why not try spreading your wings this week and see if you can come up with a good yarn?

Your prompt for Tuesday September  20th

This week we have the opening line from Howard Jacobson’s novel The Finkler Question

He (She / I) should have seen it coming

Use all or part of it within your poem or prose then leave the url of your piece with Mister Linky. A comment would also be appreciated.

  2. I took a shot at writing a story. I write poetry most of the time, but I have been branching out and trying new things.

  4. Sorry for linking twice! The first time was an accident.
Anyway, I wrote a poem again this week because I combined two prompts and the other was for a poem. Maybe next week I'll give it a shot :)

  5. I tried my hand at short story writing -- something I haven't done in a long time. Not sure of the quality, but it's prose rather than poetry!

  7. Dear Keith- be it for prose or poem, i'd take the prompt for allowing me to express. Keep going, Thanks.

  8. Well, I did poetry. I am not sure I can concentrate on one thing long enough to do a short story! LOL
